The general objective of the study carried out was to determine the relationship between glycosylated hemoglobin and the lipid profile in type 2 diabetic patients treated at the Regional Hospital of Cajamarca, 2023. Regarding its methodology, it was basic, relational and quantitative, with a design non-experimental and transversal. The population was made up of 2,100 patients who were treated in outpatient clinics and 150 who were hospitalized, type 2 diabetics treated at the Cajamarca Regional Hospital, from May 2022 to May 2023, all of them making a total of 2,250. The sample It was made up of 329 patients with a diagnosis of type 2 diabetes who had glycosylated hemoglobin and lipid profile tests attended at the Cajamarca Regional Hospital, from May 2022 to May 2023. The results show that, by increasing one percent of hemoglobin glycosylated, the value of the lipid profile also increases, likewise, there is a significant positive relationship between glycosylated hemoglobin and the lipid profile in type 2 diabetic patients in relation to sex treated at the Regional Hospital of Cajamarca, 2023. It is concluded that there is a significant positive relationship between glycosylated hemoglobin and lipid profile in type 2 diabetic patients in relation to the sex and age of those treated at the Regional Hospital of Cajamarca, 2023.
