dc.description.abstractEl presente trabajo tuvo como objetivo describir la toxicidad cutánea como resultado adverso en la radioterapia hipofraccionada frente a la radioterapia convencional en pacientes con cáncer de mama tratados en la Clínica Oncológica Oncorad durante el periodo 2020-2023. De manera que se empleó una metodología analítica de cohorte, transversal, en una muestra constituida por 171 pacientes con cáncer de mama. En los resultados la toxicidad cutánea aguda, el grado 0 fue del 17.5% para radioterapia convencional y del 29.8% para radioterapia hipofraccionada, el grado 1 fue del 18.7% en radioterapia convencional y 18.1% en radioterapia hipofraccionada, el grado 2 fue del 12.9% para radioterapia convencional y 0.6% en radioterapia hipofraccionada, mientras que el grado 3 fue del 2.3% para radioterapia convencional y del 0.0% para radioterapia hipofraccionada. En cuanto a la toxicidad tardía, el grado 0 fue del 42.7% para radioterapia convencional y 48.5% para radioterapia hipofraccionada, con un 0.6% para radioterapia convencional y 0.0% para radioterapia hipofraccionada en el grado 3. Los grados 1, 2 y 3 solo se presentaron en radioterapia convencional, con porcentajes de 7%, 1.2% y 0.6%, respectivamente. Se concluye que en el grado 0, la toxicidad cutánea tardía tuvo una mayor presencia en la radioterapia convencional y radioterapia hipofraccionada en comparación con la aguda.es_ES
dc.description.abstractThe objective of this work was to describe skin toxicity as an adverse outcome in hypofractionated radiotherapy compared to conventional radiotherapy in patients with breast cancer treated at the Oncorad Oncology Clinic during the period 2020-2023. Therefore, a cross-sectional cohort analytical methodology was used in a sample consisting of 171 patients with breast cancer. In the results of acute skin toxicity, grade 0 was 17.5% for conventional radiotherapy and 29.8% for hypofractionated radiotherapy, grade 1 was 18.7% in conventional radiotherapy and 18.1% in hypofractionated radiotherapy, grade 2 was 12.9% for conventional radiotherapy and 0.6% in hypofractionated radiotherapy, while grade 3 was 2.3% for conventional radiotherapy and 0.0% for hypofractionated radiotherapy. Regarding late toxicity, grade 0 was 42.7% for conventional radiotherapy and 48.5% for hypofractionated radiotherapy, with 0.6% for conventional radiotherapy and 0.0% for hypofractionated radiotherapy in grade 3.
