NIVEL DE CONOCIMIENTO DEL CLIMATERIO Y MENOPAUSIA EN MUJERES DE 40 A 60 AÑOS ATENDIDAS EN EL CENTRO DE SALUD PROGRESO DE CHIMBOTE, OCTUBRE - NOVIEMBRE DEL 2024

| dc.description.abstract | El objetivo de la presente investigación fue determinar el nivel de conocimiento sobre climaterio y menopausia en mujeres de 40 a 60 años que acudieron al Centro de Salud Progreso - Chimbote entre octubre y noviembre de 2024. Se realizó un estudio descriptivo, de diseño no experimental y corte transversal, aplicando un cuestionario validado a 105 mujeres. Los resultados sociodemográficos revelaron que la mayoría tenía entre 40 y 49 años, eran amas de casa (60%) y casadas o convivientes (62.9%). El 47.6% tenía educación secundaria, y el 81.9% procedía de la costa. En cuanto al número de hijos, el 43.8% tenía entre 2 y 3. Respecto al conocimiento sobre el climaterio, el 49.5% tenía un nivel medio, el 36.2% alto y el 14.3% bajo. En relación con la menopausia, el 72.4% mostró un conocimiento medio, el 21.9% bajo y solo el 5.7% alto. Se concluye que, aunque la mayoría tiene conocimientos intermedios, existe un porcentaje significativo de mujeres con conocimientos insuficientes, lo que refleja la necesidad de fortalecer la educación en salud sobre estos procesos naturales en la etapa madura de la mujer para mejorar su calidad de vida y toma de decisiones informadas. | es_ES |
