The objective of the research was to determine the epidemiological characteristics of pregnant women with COVID 19 treated at the San Juan de Dios Caraz Hospital, 2020. It was of a basic, quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional and descriptive design. The complete medical records of 85 pregnant women diagnosed with COVID 19 were reviewed. The data collection form was applied considering the items of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Human Infection with Human Infection Form with the Novel Coronavirus COVID 19 and the WHO Notification Form for Confirmed Cases of the Novel Coronavirus COVID 19. The data were processed with the SPSS Statistics 26 software using descriptive statistics. The results showed that 88.2% of the affected pregnant women had basic education, 91.8% were housewives; 98.8% were diagnosed with serological tests and did not have predominant comorbidities. The main symptoms were fever (69.4%), malaise (76.5%), and cough (88.2%). Of the 85.9% who ended in childbirth, 62.4% were vaginally and no newborn was born depressed. It is concluded that the vulnerability of the mother-child binomial leads to maintaining strict care measures, despite the fact that the symptoms did not reflect severity
